September

It's September, which means it is time for me to get on my soapbox.  September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Time to raise awareness!  Please help me spread the word.  Today alone it is estimated that 46 children will be diagnosed with cancer.  That means this week (Mon-Fri) 230 parents will hear the words "your child has cancer".  We need more awareness which will lead to more funds to help find cures for these 230 children plus the thousands and thousands already fighting this disease.  The National Cancer Institute’s federal budget=$4.6 billion. Pediatric cancers received less than 3% of it.   It is unacceptable!!

You can visit http://www.goldthenewpink.net/ to learn more.  But don't worry....I am far from finished discussing this subject during September.
Love, Tricia
