Why I need a massage

This is what I really need. Can’t see it happening any time soon but it’s nice to daydream about it.
This has been an extra crazy week. Morgan has 3 soccer games with her middle school team because of rainout make ups. (2 down and 1 to go today) That means they need 3 pre-game meals. And that means I’ve been busy buying and serving food to these girls. Our parents chip in a lump sum of money and then I do the shopping. You can’t always depend on the girls to remember to pack a snack/extra meal. Heck, some of them can’t even keep up with their cleats, socks & uniforms. Disclaimer—this is not the case for my child. My child is always prepared and has everything she needs. (she gets it from my mother) Although, I do think I had to bring a pair of “game” cleats once. Yes, she has “practice” cleats and “game” cleats. We won’t discuss the prices of cleats that are worn so frequently….some would compete with the prices of Fancy’s shoes. :-)
Ok, where was I? I started rambling. Anyway this is just a brief glimpse of my craziness to prepare for feeding these girls.

• Go to the grocery store for fresh fruit and snacks. This sounds easy but half the time I end up at 2 stores. This week all the bananas were super green at one store so I had to go to another to find more ripe ones.
• During my lunch break: load cooler with small Gatorade bottles
• Load my bag of goodies into car. (plates, napkins, pretzels, cheese nips—whatever I decide to feed with their sub)
• Phone in order for subs.
• Pick up subs
• Go to school and “set up” before girls are dismissed from school
• Pass out food….negotiate with girls for “leftovers”. They crack me up. There are a couple who walk into cafeteria and automatically say “I get any leftovers”. It’s mostly the 8th graders because they eat lunch at 10:50 so by 3:30 they’re pretty hungry.
• Chat with the girls. Give them a little pep talk. LOL
• Pack everything up and head home.
• Go to game.
• Come home and do it all over again.

I am not complaining. I do enjoy all this. It’s fun for me (most days) and most of the girls are very appreciative. Since it is “thankful Thursday”, I’m thankful to be able to do all of this. I’m thankful that it’s still ok for me to be around Morgan and her friends. I’m thankful for all the help I get (didn’t mention all of that in the bullets) from others.

Feeling very blessed, Tricia

I think if you have to wear those awful looking cleats, at least wear the fanciest ones that money can buy!!!

Fancy--
I think we're about as fancy as we can get....they're very colorful. Black with red and neon green/yellowish color. :-)
