Home and Stuff

I'm stuck at home right now while our air conditioner is being replaced so I thought I'd catch you up on a few things.  Here in random order are a few of the things going on around here.
  • Our downstairs A/C died last week.  We are replacing it and the upstairs unit.  The upstairs unit barely made it this summer so it was time to bite the bullet and replace.  The downstairs unit had a cracked something or other so we really had no choice on it.  Thankful they made it through the hot summer.  I do not do well in a hot house...especially when it comes time to sleep.  It was really cool last week so it was great to sleep with windows open.
  • In other home repair news, we finally turned our screened porch into a sun room. We never, ever used the screened porch once we added the cover on our patio. With a sun room we will be able to use year round. It turned out great I think.
Before
After.
  • Morgan is in full swing with soccer. She had 2 games this past Sunday. You know I have to put up a couple pics. :-)  Such moves!
  •  Someone in our household has been a traveling machine.  Portugal one week, Atlanta and Chateau Elan the next.  It's just a tough job but someone has to do it.  Luckily Morgan and I get enough of a break  that we aren't driving each other crazy.
  • I'm in the last week of boot camp.  It's been a blast as always.  (that's a nice way of saying she's kicked our rears from here til Sunday every chance she gets)  We're having an end of boot camp party at my house on Friday evening.  This has been a fun group and there's always lots of laughter so I know it will be a good time.
  • Hubby has a birthday this weekend.  Right now we have zero plans.  (other than Morgan's soccer game)  I guess we will figure it out at the last minute.  Hubby is usually not a big fuss over a birthday kind of guy.  He would be really happy if I baked him a carrot cake.  (note the key word "would").  I'm thinking a carrot cake cupcake from the bakery will be just as good.
I think that's all I've got for now.  I am sure as soon as I publish this, I will think of something else I could have added.
