It’s time for walk down memory lane.
How many of you had this album?
Yes, I said album. I think I may have had the cassette too—or maybe I made my own. It was my Senior year of high school and I listened to it all the time. And I’m pretty sure I could sing every word to every song. (there may have been a hair brush as a microphone at some point as well) And who hasn’t slow danced to one or two of the songs on this album back in the day?
And how many of you listened to the music of this group?
I never had any of their albums but definitely remember listening to their music. It’s now classic “old school” music in my opinion.
These days I lean more towards country music so I was surprised to learn that Lionel Richie was making an album of duets with country music stars. It has all the classics from his days with the Commodores and from the above album. I downloaded the album and I have to say I really like most of the songs. (not so sure about Willie Nelson singing “Easy” – just sayin) It has definitely been a flashback for me. I don’t normally listen to Lionel when I’m thinking “old school” but this has taken me back to the “good ole days” of my Senior year.
I’d recommend you check it out if you’re an old school Lionel fan and/or a country music fan. It’s worth a trip down memory lane. Here's a little preview:
These songs are definitely going to be on my latest playlists. (can you believe I've gone from albums to downloaded music all in one post? And we didn't even touch on buiying CD's!!)
