Watch you like a hawk....

Just when I thought I had nothing to blog about along comes a pair of hawks in the backyard. I pulled in the driveway after exercising this morning and this large hawk flew across the yard and landed in a tree in the back yard. (didn't see the second one at this point)  I went right inside to get the photographer to take a picture.  Unfortunately, the photographer was in the shower....so I became the photographer!  Such pressure!  Could I capture this moment on film with my little Canon camera??  It's tiny compared the camera the real photographer uses!LOL 
Here's what I got:
The first hawk

And while I'm slowly walking forward (and gently whispering for Wilson to stay so he wouldn't frightned the hawk) I hear a noise and I look over and there is a second hawk to my right.  Wasn't quick enough to catch it sitting so I got this blurry "in flight" picture.

And then the first hawk takes off and I got this shot.

I can't believe I got that one....it's pretty darn good--for me!

So, that's my excitement of the day.  I'm sure the rest of the day is going to be quite boring after all this.  HA HA
