*Morgan had middle school soccer games on Monday and Tuesday. It rained during most of the game on Tuesday--that's fun for the players but not so much for the parents. She also had practice on Wednesday and Thursday (she ditched this practice due to parental scheduling conflicts). She has 2 club games in Columbia tomorrow. Oh, and she's now at a high school game watching soccer. Soccer. Soccer. Soccer. And more soccer. Luckily it will ALL be over by next week at this time. Well, except for the club tryouts which will be in early May. Then it will be over I guess.
Waiting to start the rainy game on Tuesday

*This will be the public service announcement portion of the blog. Go to your dermatologist for a yearly skin check! Wear sunscreen! I went on Tuesday for my routine appointment. I thought I was done when he looked at my chest and said "hmmm, I don't like this pink spot". He went on to say he didn't think it was a melanoma or anything but just wanted it gone to be safe. Pink spot? What pink spot? I hadn't even noticed it. Well, within the blink of an eye and a signature on a line to ok it...the pink spot was gone and sent to the lab. Of course, that's the day I wore a cute V-neck top and that meant all the world got to see the bandaid on my chest. Nice. Anyway, got the call today that the spot was "pre" cancerous. It had a higher probability of turning into something ....not that it ever would but it was in the atypical range. Don't be freaking out--it's really quite common and no big deal. But if I hadn't gone....who knows what could have happened down the road. So--go make that appointment!
*Had a fabulous time at the BonJovi concert last night. Those guys put on a show. It was non-stop. We barely sat down during the concert. Loved it....will go back to see them again and again and again. They sang all the favorites and some of the new stuff (which I admit I wasn't familar with) I sooo wish I could have had a camera with me....just for the people watching. There were some VERY intersting people at the concert. All ages and ALL types of clothing. Mercy! And lots of tight clothes and big hair on people with no business wearing either!
Love these guys

* And the final fun portion of the week....
Remember a week or ago when I posted about being thankful for my mammogram? I had to do it all over again today. Yes, I got the dreaded "we need to take further pictures to verify something we've seen on your mammogram on the left side" phone call on Monday. First available appointment for a diagnostic mammogram was today. Now friends, this isn't the first time I've had to do this. It's happened several times....once I even had to have a little surgery for some scar tissue changing spot (it had a really long name and it was 7 years ago--don't feel like googling....oops binging it. (Google is bad in a Microsoft household) But let me tell you, it is always nerve wrecking and a little stressful for a gal. Especially for someone who knows way too much info in the world of cancer and has an overactive brain(I could write 5-10 blog entries on this alone :-). Let's just say I was praying I wouldn't have to eat all my words about all the pink stuff that hits in October vs September which is childhood cancer month. Many prayers were said and today after 2 more pictures, I was given the "it's all clear and everything looks completely normal. We'll see you in a year." Couldn't ask for a better ending to this week.
Enjoy the weekend everyone. I know I will be.
Love,Tricia
