Last night's Academy of Country Music Awards is giving me plenty of meaningless things to blog about. I do enjoy some country music so that's why I was watching.
It hit me during the show that I should blog about some of the things I was seeing. Here are a few random thoughts/things that caught my eye or made me go "hmmm..interesting".
1. When I grow up I want to have a body just like Carrie Underwood. What I wouldn't give to be able to wear that dress (no way on the shoes) from the opening number (or the other 2 dresses she wore throughout the show would be ok too).
2. Props to Reba for breaking bad in the backless dress. Not bad for a mature lady.
3. At what age is a woman too old to wear cowboy boots? Just love the look...but not sure when you should hang up the boots.
4. What the heck was Cher doing at the ACM's? Seriously....and do you think there was some botox there?
5. What was up with Nicole Kidman? Yes, the dress was short enough (obviously) but that's not what you wear to an awards show. Dinner maybe? Didn't like it.
6. I saw a picture of Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. And he totally had his hand on her rear. Too cute. (couldn't find the picture again to download) But speaking of Faith....totally disappointed in her look--she's southern--she needs wavy hair--not that straight mess. :-)
7. How many times did CBS have to promote Two and Half Men and Big Bang Theory?? That was annoying even though I do like those shows.
8. And finally....he has absolutely nothing to do with country music but it sure was nice to see and hear Matthew McConaughey. Mercy!
That concludes the break from reality.....now it's back to the real world.
