Quick Recap

After such a slow summer, we had a pretty busy few days over the weekend/holiday.  The first thing we did last Friday was drive Morgan to Darlington to meet Nana Brenda.  Nana Brenda had been at the beach and Morgan decided she'd go hang out with her for a while.  So we met in the middle and passed her right off!  I've had minimal contact from Morgan but based on the brief texts I've recieved, she's having a good time.  She will actually be coming home today.  She got her toes in the sand....she sent proof via text.

Saturday was a lazy day (after my final boot camp session at 8am--on Saturday!) which ended with a fabulous dinner at the Beef and Bottle in Charlotte.  One of the best steaks I've had in a while--oh, and the loaded baked potatoe was almost as good.  That was a big treat for me. LOL

On Sunday we hung out by the pool for a good part of the afternoon and then we headed up to Verizon Wireless Ampitheatre to see the Zac Brown Band.  It was SO much fun.  The tickets were part of my birthday present.  Here I am with my cute date.

And here's what all the cute young girls were wearing at the concert.  Why didn't they have that look 20 yrs ago???

It's always entertaining when you sit on the lawn.  Before the show ever started the medics had to assist someone who had already had a little too much fun.  (not sure if you can see them in the photo--there's also a couple scary looking folks in the photo too)
