Random Ramblings

There are lots of things going on this time of year and we've been pretty busy....but not a whole lot of newsworthy/bloggy sort of things. So today I'm just going to ramble and see what happens. :-)

1) We saw Wicked for the first time this week. Morgan and I went with Fancy and Emma. It was FABULOUS! Like so good that I am dying to go see it again while it's still in Charlotte. I highly recommend it--it's funny, serious and the voices on those ladies--mercy!
2) Should be an interesting 5 days here at our house. I am on Prednisone for 5 days. I've got a little sciatic nerve issue....not fun. And it's really uncomfortable when I sit long periods of time. This problem will not work for a gal who has a really long flight to a tropical paradise coming up in a month. So I broke down and went to the Orthopedist. So now it's prednisone and a little physical therapy--will have to report back on that fun...first appointment is next week. Gotta love these "possible" effects....just what a gal wants to read

•confusion, excitement, restlessness
•headache
•nausea, vomiting
•skin problems, acne, thin and shiny skin
•weight gain
AND this one is too much....(I didn't list all the ones here...edited)

•mental depression, mood swings, mistaken feelings of self-importance or of being mistreated Seriously? Mistaken feelings of self-importance.....where do they come up with this stuff?
3) I've been on an organizing mission in the scrapbook room. It's a mess. And I have to admit I think I hoard scrapbook supplies....there I said it. So part of my organizing has included some purging of supplies. I did a Bing search and found that there is an organization called "Operation Scrapbook" and their mission is to provide Foster Children and children with cancer their own scrapbooking supplies completely free of charge. How neat is that? So, I'm making a really big pile for them. I'll post some after pictures soon...I hope :-)
4) We have a surprise birthday party tomorrow...but I obviously can't talk about it--cause it's a surprise. Not that I think the gentleman is reading my blog....but you just never know.
Other than that it's going to be a pretty low key weekend. Just what I need!
Ok, enough rambling for now....I've got new magazines to read. Maybe they'll give me some blog ideas--you never know where you'll find your inspiration!
