Well, here I thought I had nothing to write about.....that all changed tonight about 8:45pm when the phone rang. Caller ID showed that "The Learning Center" (area code 262--Wisconsin) was calling. I answered to get rid of them since I had seen the number show up as a missed call earlier in the week. The caller asked for Mrs. Witherspoon and stated that she was calling from the Learning Center and was calling because my daughter "checked" that she was interested in receiving information to help her prepare for tests such as the PSAT and SAT. And they were calling to talk to a parent before sending out the packet. At this point, I'm thinking "what has Morgan filled out or done online". The caller then says that her records show I have a freshman. I say "no I do not have a freshman".....then it hits me. So I ask "what name do you have?" The caller says "Jenna". My blood boiled......how did Jenna "check" that she was interested??? Those freaking slimey telemarketers!!!! I responded "my daughter Jenna has been deceased for 2 years. You obviously have bad information." I heard a quick "I'm sorry" and the line went dead. Can you believe that? I'm sure Jenna's name was on a list somewhere--I get that. We've gotten mail addressed to her--usually academic type things....like People to People wanting her to see the world. But this was so blatently slimely....trying to make people think their children had "checked" something and requested information. I think I may be calling the number that showed up on caller ID tomorrow.....I think I'll just give these people a piece of my mind.
So---there you have it--the latest stirrings at our house!

Oh. My. Goodness. How low down is that? I would so call them back and give them a little something to think about....I'm just sayin....
Give me the name and number...they will KNOW they have been talked to when I am done ;-)....Fancy to the rescue!!!!
