Back to School

Yesterday was the first day of school.  It goes so much smoother when you have a Junior who can drive herself to school.  And at this age there really isn't a whole lot of shopping for supplies.  I did have to write a check for a Chemistry lab notebook but that's it so far.  Oh wait, we did pick up some binders and paper a couple weeks ago.  Almost forgot about those.  Morgan said her classes are ok and she's got people she knows and likes (that is important you know) in each of her classes.  She's taking AP Chemistry, AP US History, Pre-Calculus and Marketing this semester.  I think someone is going to be very busy.
We spent the past weekend in Asheville, NC for a preseason soccer tournament.  Our team came in 3rd.  It wasn't a bad showing for a group of girls who had only practiced together about 2 weeks beforehand.  We have several new players on the team this year.  (this is club/travel soccer)
This was the very first time I've ever worn blue jeans to an August soccer tournament.  The weather was cool--in the mid to upper 60s.  It was perfect soccer weather.  We start regular season games in a couple weeks.
That's about it for us.  Here's the resident Junior and her trusty sidekick Wilson on her first day of school.
This was her 8 years ago.  Same spot....same trusty sidekick.  Wow.  Where do the years go??
