Internet info

It is amazing what you can learn from the internet. Here are a few things that I’ve picked up lately or sites that caught my attention.
• There will be a Super Moon this weekend. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/47246217
Nothing like a good full moon up in the sky. (some say it brings out the crazies....some say it brings out other behaviors…we’ll leave it at that)

• Our very own Strawberry Festival is this weekend. There will be lots of fun things happening. http://www.scstrawberryfestival.com/
And really good strawberries.

• Morgan has to take a 4.5 hour class called “Alive at 25” http://www.scaliveat25.org/ in order to have a parking permit for school next year. It is mandatory. We never had this sort of thing “back in the day”. The rules for getting a restricted license are much different too.

• I am amazed at how a simple blog post can be spread worldwide. This is a really neat (but sad) story about a little girl born with an incurable disease and her “bucket list”. Even neater to me is that her dad was doing some of the blogging too. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/47255074/ns/health-childrens_health/?ocid=ansmsnbc11

• And another neat story about pediatric oncology nurses from Presbyterian hospital in Charlotte participating in Ultimate Hike to raise money for CureSearch. http://www.curesearch.org/ArticleView2.aspx?id=10014&l=8810&c=7eb54f

Guess that’s it for now. Happy Wednesday! Tricia
