I have had a major case of the blahs this week. At first I thought it was just a simple case of the post holiday blahs but tonight I had a major realization about my blahs. You see, I started a "this is serious and I'm going to do it" diet at the beginning of the week and it is truly the source of my blahs. It's taken away all the simple joys in my life....like Reese cups, Rolo's, peppermint patties, cookies, kettle crunch chips, homemade Chex mix, mixed nuts, pretzel sticks dipped in chocolate, holiday beverages.....oh the list could just go on and on and on. My major food withdrawl is creating the blahs. Oh, how I loved the holidays when I could wander into the kitchen at any time and find some wonderful things to nibble on (and on and on). Now it's over--reality is here.
And I have to admit I don't see me turning the corner on these blahs anywhere in the near future. Carrots, broccoli, celery, cottage cheese, V8 and yogurt just don't have the same appeal as the above items. I guess this is when it's time for one my all time favorite sayings to come into play: "Put on Your Big Girl Panties And Deal With It". So friends...that's my plan! I'm gonna deal with it and hopefully shed the blahs and some pounds!! Stay tuned...there may be some serious rants and raves headed your way.

I broke down and had a Reese Peanut Butter Tree last night....it was worth EVERY bite!!!!

I am right there with you, girl. It's hard. I keep asking myself, do I want those chips MORE than I want to be thin? ;)
