Better ideas....

I saw this at TJ Maxx over the weekend and I just had to buy it for myself.  I thought Fancy and Lucy would love it--and be proud of me for "owning it".  I think it describes me to a certain extent.  LOL  Haven't quite decided where to hang it yet.

It's time for Morgan to go skiing with youth group.....do you think she's excited about the trip on Friday?

She's packed and ready!  (big surprise)  It's really not that early--we have to take her big suitcase to the church and leave it this evening.  They are going to load the bus early in the afternoon tomorrow and having the luggage there makes things go much quicker for their 4:45pm departure.   Looks like they are going to be

getting snow at Winterplace (WV) tonight--should be a fun trip.

And did I mention Morgan is missing a soccer tournament in Savannah for this trip?  The ski trip was planned first and she had committed to it.  The soccer tournament was kind of last minute.  We've played soccer in Savannah so didn't feel like we were missing out on too much. :-)  I think it's a first though.

 

This came home from school with Morgan last week.  It took my breath away....not really....but seriously friends....my baby girl is going to high school next year!  Gasp.  We even got an automated phone call about a rising freshman meeting at the high school next week.  Gasp.  We sure didn't get fancy books with class descriptions and "cirriculum templates".  These days you can choose a career path and take classes based on that path.  Examples are School of Engineering & Integrated Technologies (yes, my little brain child is leaning towards that area), School of Health & Human Services, School of Business & Information Systems....and it just goes on and on.  So much for the days of Reading, Writing and Arithmetic!  (ok, that totally aged me, didn't it?)
